The Lincoln Home National Historic Site

Abraham Lincoln lived in from 1844 through 1886 in Illinois.
The Lincoln Home, the centerpiece of the Lincoln Home National Histroic Site, has been restored to its 1860s appearance, revealing Lincoln as husband, politician and President. There are over 457,000 artifacts in the entire collection and there are 100 items directly correlating to the Lincoln family. Today the home and surrounding area is a popular tourist draw, the home is opened every day and free tickets are available on a first-come first-seve basis.
