In 1803 President Thomas Jefferson commissoned the Corps of Discovery as a scientific Expedition to explore the Louisiana Purchase. This Expedition leaded by Lewis and Clark was the first American overland Expedition to the Pacific Coast and back. It started from Pittsburg in 1804 and finished in the Fort Clatsop in 1806. The achievments this Expedition:
